What Are Wellness Communities?

Therapist-facilitated experiential learning groups designed to support emotional growth and personal healing through safe, collaborative connection.

Unlike traditional therapy, these communities offer inspiration, motivation, and real-life learning experiences.

Each community is grounded in frameworks such as IFS, Nonviolent Communication, Ecotherapy, or Counseling Discipleship. Participants are welcome to get their feet wet, swim, or dive in deep—based on their comfort and readiness.

Groups are ideal for:

  • Busy professionals seeking balance

  • Leaders looking to grow sustainable skills and increase their influence

  • Individuals interested in accelerated growth and dynamic, inspiring interactions

  • Anyone wanting to discover IFS practices in a non-clinical setting

Jennifer currently has openings in her free third-Thursday Q+A sessions, all Wellness Communities, and limited spots for brief consultations. Future availability is also offered for individual counseling and counseling retreats.

FAQs About Therapist-Guided Groups in Upstate, SC

Do I need to be in therapy to join?

No. These communities are open to anyone—from the curious to the confidently seeking dynamic growth. They offer therapeutic benefits but are not therapy groups.

Are these groups religious?

No, but they honor the role religion or spirituality may play in someone’s growth. They include opportunities to explore how to integrate one’s spiritual practices.

What’s the difference between this and group therapy?

These are wellness communities, not clinical therapy groups. They focus on improving health rather than reducing symptoms, and on discovering possibilities rather than solving problems. Sessions are designed for experiential learning, high autonomy, and structured, supportive interactions.
